Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2021-12-10T13:27Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2021-12-10T13:27:00-IPS-001 (version 3)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Gradual increase in B_total, peaking at 9.95nT at 2021-12-11T03:27Z, increases also seen in density, temperature, and briefly in the solar wind speed (peaking at 337km/s). It is unclear currently which CME may have caused the arrival signature, it could be combined or just the later one. It is also possible this complicated arrival signature includes a HSS mixed in with the glancing blow(s) of the CMEs linked to this IPS entry.
